New Music Tuesday - 9/17/13

It's, as the British call it, "Choostay", and boy, oh boy is there some good stuff out today. Make sure you listen to all of these to get you through hump-day tomorrow!Grouplove-Album-CoverGrouplove - Spreading RumoursGrouplove is back with their sophomore LP, Spreading Rumours. One thing that I will say is that I've gotten a chance to hear a lot of the album and it is very good. One might categorize it under the giant umbrella of "indie," but it covers a wide range of genres. On that note, check out this music video about what appears to be North Korea. The Phantom Broadcast - Orphic Hymnsartworks-000055517079-92k6sv-t500x500While the Phantom Broadcast has a huge catalog under their belt, this album is the first they're releasing in print. The Phantom Broadcast is the project of guitarist and vocalist Evan Opitz. This album's got rock, metal, and even some jazz in it! Just when you think you've nailed what direction the albums going in, you'll be thrown off course by the next song. You'll be able to find the album on campus or on the band's Bandcamp. The Presets - PacificaThe-Presets-Pacifica-e1340066841656 You may think this is just another "jump-on-the-nu-disco-revival-train" album, but I promise you, it's not. This is the Australian duo's third album, and they've been in the game since 2003. This album takes inspiration from so many different eras of dance music. Take a listen to the first single off the album. That's it for this week. Keep listening and enjoy!More Music Out This Week:
